1. The short version
Savefold does not require an account, social login, or a cloud profile. Your saved library, folders, favorites, and search data are intended to remain on your Apple devices. The website may still receive basic technical request information through its hosting provider when you visit it.
2. What Savefold processes
When you paste a public link or use the iOS/iPadOS Share Extension, Savefold may read the URL and publicly available page metadata such as title, description, author, image, domain, and platform. Some platforms limit the preview information that can be made available.
3. Local library and backups
Your saved items and organization are stored locally using the app's on-device data layer. If you export or import a JSON backup, that file is handled by the location and services you choose. Keep backups private because they may contain your saved URLs and notes.
4. Website analytics and third-party services
Savefold links to third-party websites and platforms. Apple may process App Store purchases, subscriptions, and related transactions under Apple's own policies. The website is hosted through Vercel and uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate visits and interactions, with advertising signals and ad personalization disabled. Google and Vercel may process basic technical data under their own terms and privacy policies. The Savefold app itself does not use this website analytics tag.
5. Retention, security, and choices
Because the core library is local, you can remove saved items or uninstall the app to remove local data. We use reasonable safeguards for the website and release process, but no internet or device system can be guaranteed completely secure.
